The REMS Pharmacist verifies patient and prescriber enrollment into the appropriate REMS program and ensures certain required conditions are met before processing the prescription. The pharmacist will provide patient clinical counseling before transferring the prescription to the fulfilling pharmacy. The pharmacist will be responsible for reporting any adverse events and any other clinical incidents that may arise.. The Pharmacist is expected to have a positive attitude and work well in a collaborative environment. All tasks and duties must be completed in compliance with HIPAA guidelines, State and Federal laws, pharmacy standard operating procedures, work instructions, and corporate policies. This is a hybrid position.
1. Verify both the patient and prescriber are enrolled in the appropriate REMS program. Confirm all required conditions are met before reaching out to the patient for clinical counseling.

Education/Degree Requirements/Certifications (if applicable)
• Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy or Pharm D. Must have a valid Pharmacist license in the state of Pennsylvania that is in good standing. During the two (2) year reporting period, Pharmacist completes state required thirty (30) continuing education (CE) credits approved by the Accreditation Council for Pharmaceutical Education (ACPE)
Experience (number of years) for people management jobs, indicate years required managing people
• 2+ years of experience as a Pharmacist in a mail order, retail, or specialty pharmacy
• REMS experience preferred but not required
Knowledge (concepts of the discipline)
• Experience and knowledge with in-depth patient counseling
• Basic working knowledge of pharmacy software, Microsoft Office (WORD, Outlook, and Excel), and navigating the Internet
Skills (level of measurable proficiencies)
• Mathematical skills with the ability to apply concepts of basic arithmetic, conversions, fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions
Competencies
• Possess clear and effective written and verbal communication skills
• Strong technical aptitude with proven ability to work within multiple software, technology systems, and online resources
