The Project Manager II is responsible for leading cross-functional projects with a medium to high degree of complexity. This role requires working knowledge of project management best practices. The incumbent oversees the overall health of projects, ensuring requirements are established and met, deliverables are completed and reviewed, and projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget in accordance with organizational quality standards. The Project Manager II will typically manage two or more concurrent projects, contribute to internal working groups or departmental initiatives, and may be responsible for mentoring and training other project team members.

Responsibilities

  • Develops project plans for schedule, resources, and budget in collaboration with resource managers, team leads, Finance, and executives.

  • Coordinates with project teams to identify issues, risks, and opportunities for improvement, and develops strategies to mitigate or avoid risks.

  • Monitors and manages project quality to ensure deliverables meet contractual terms, specifications, and organizational standards.

  • Compiles and distributes project information, status reports, and portfolio budget expenditures.

  • Actively contributes to the continuous improvement of the organization’s project management processes and standards.

  • Interacts with senior managers, executives, and major stakeholders to establish strategic plans and objectives.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Education/Certifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree or 7 years of professional experience

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification recommended

Experience

  • 3–5 years of experience as a Project Manager

  • 1–3 years managing client-facing healthcare IT implementation projects

  • Experience in other heavily regulated industries, such as financial services, may be considered

Knowledge

  • Understanding of the Project Management Institute (PMI) framework

  • Working knowledge of project management methodologies (e.g., Agile/Scrum)

Skills

  • Ability to manage concurrent project activities across multiple business lines

  • Beginner to intermediate knowledge of project management

  • Ability to work under direct or indirect supervision

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, and project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Smartsheet)

  • Experience in project monitoring, scope and budget management, resourcing, and use of applicable software

  • Ability to manage project activities, establish goals and objectives, exercise sound judgment, analyze complex information, develop plans, demonstrate negotiation and facilitation skills, identify risks and gaps, prepare reports, communicate effectively, and mentor others as needed

Travel/Physical Requirements

  • Travel to conferences, trade events, and customer locations may be required (up to 25%).

  • Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and training consistent with ConnectiveRx’s Information Security and Compliance Programs, including SOC1, SOC2, PCI, and HIPAA.

  • Maintain strict compliance with company and client policies regarding business rules and ethics, as well as applicable local, state, and federal laws.


Compensation & Benefits:  This position offers opportunities for a bonus (or commissions), with total compensation varying based on factors such as location, relevant skills, experience, and capabilities.

Time-Off & Holidays:  ConnectiveRx provides a flexible paid time off (PTO) policy for exempt employees, covering sick days, personal days, and vacations. PTO is determined based on an employee’s first year of service. Employees also receive eight standard company holidays and three floating holidays annually, with prorations applied in the first year.

Posted Salary Range

USD $61,900.00 - USD $102,800.00 /Yr.
